SIMCOE HYPNOSIS & WELLNESS CENTER OPENS IN ORILLIA AND BARRIE AFTER OVERWHELMING DEMAND TO OFFER AFFORDABLE AND EFFECTIVE MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Clarissa Smith, a Clinical Hypnotist, has opened her hypnosis clinic in Orillia & Barrie to assist in providing affordable options to residents who are experiencing increased stress, hopelessness, and addiction dependency. Simcoe Hypnosis & Wellness Center are offering in-person sessions in their Orillia & Barrie offices, or virtual sessions for residents across Simcoe County, to assist with:

· Stress management

· Quitting smoking

· Weight loss & healthy eating

· Pain management

· Breaking addictions, habits & phobias

"If we are stressed day in and day out, we are forming the habit of existing in a stressed state. Being stressed will soon become as natural as riding a bicycle; an unconscious habit."

“Think about riding a bicycle. When learning, we practiced and eventually got to a point where riding became natural and easy for us, it’s not something we have to put thought into. We simply get on the bicycle and ride. We can think of our mental state the same way. If we are stressed day in and day out, we are forming the habit of existing in a stressed state. Being stressed will soon become as natural as riding a bicycle; an unconscious habit. Unfortunately, many of us have been stressed for 2 years, or longer, and it only takes, on average, 25 repetitions to form a habit” said Clarissa. “A return to normalcy isn’t enough to break the habit of worrying that has become engrained in our minds, just like our ability to ride a bike won’t disappear after a year of not riding.”

“A survey by the CAMH shows that 73.4% of people surveyed have been experiencing moderate to severe anxiety over the last 2 years. Unfortunately, many people don’t have healthy coping mechanisms to manage their anxiety, which lead us to unhealthy coping mechanisms such as addiction. Addiction can look like alcohol or drug dependency, over-eating, gambling, cellphone use, excessive shopping & gaming, and so on. Ultimately, we can say that any addiction is a symptom of unfulfilled emotional needs & stress” said Clarissa. “My goal is to teach my clients healthy coping mechanisms, and break the habit of continuous mental stress they are experiencing, allowing them to live a happier more joyful life”

“On January 7th, 2022 the CAMH released stats showing that 64.3% of respondents are very worried about their finances at this time. Financial strain, in combination with overall stress & worry from the last 2 years, has left our population feeling hopeless.” Said Clarissa. “It has never been more necessary to have affordable mental health care across Simcoe County. I am so grateful to be up and running, so I can assist those in need with finding peace and happiness once again, without worrying about financial strain”

Positively, Simcoe Hypnosis has been able to provide relief and hope to many clients including Elle G from Rama who said “I'm so grateful to be doing a "Stress Management" package with [Clarissa]. She has a wonderful way of creating a safe and secure environment in which to facilitate the goals I want to achieve. If you are looking to explore hypnotherapy, you can't go wrong choosing Simcoe Hypnosis & Wellness Centre”
